DESCRIPTION: This package contains improvements to the operating system software for the listed iPAQ Travel Companion and operating system. This package improves route calculation accuracy and efficiency, route re-calculation, and the route display. It improves system performance and routing results by updating the map data such as the points of interest, street information, and speed calculation. The package also includes modifications to improve the overall system stability.

IMPORTANT: It is advised that you back up all your data before performing an update.

FIXES:
-Updates map information for more accurate route calculation.
-Updates points of interest with more recent location and contact information.
-Updates display program for more understandable display when navigating on a route.
-Updates route re-calculation algorithm for more useful re-calculation results.
-Updates street data to remove incorrectly categorized streets.
-Updates system code to prevent intermittent crashes and device lockups.

HOW TO USE:

  1. Download the .EXE file to a directory on your hard drive.
  2. Connect your iPAQ to your desktop or notebook using the synchronization cable.
  3. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions.
  4. After the download is complete, remove the synchronization cable. The device restarts.
