Add a large keyboard I.

If you want a large keyboard, here's how:

1. find a CE simulator for ARM and grab the following files

LargeKB.dll (optional)
LargeKB.pdb (optional)
LargeKB.rel (optional)

2. copy those files to \ResidentFlash\Ipaq\OS

3. save the following content (without the horizontal lines) to a .reg file and import it to the ipaq310 with Tascal Regedit

Then you will see a new entry "largekb" in the input panel. Enjoy your large keyboard!

Add a large keyboard II.

If you want a large keyboard, here's how:

Hi to all, after some time has passed after i announced it (i can play with these things only very little time @ very little hours :-D) finally i release a modded version of the open source EuroKeyboard (, adapted and enhanced for our ipaq.

It's released as a cab installer, so to install it simply copy the cab file to your device, open it, choose a permanent installation folder (i.e. NOT the proposed "\Program files") and install it.

You can set this keyboard as the default one simply creating a link to the file "startkey.exe" and putting it in your startup folder.
You can customize the keyboard as you wish editing or creating a new ".txt" file in the EuroKeyboard folder.
This is a time consuming task, so sorry if i customized the version only for the italian keyboard, however it is very simple to adapt it to your keyboard type (if you want send me your customization so that i can include it in the release).

Please let me now if you like it and ways to improve it.
